I've always had a passion for reading and after my daughter was born I passed that passion on to her. It's something we'll always share. My love of reading is what led to my love of writing.

I began writing in 2009 and it quickly became more than a hobby or a way to pass the time, it became my passion. I'm not sure what I would do without it in my life.

While I'm not a genre-specific writer, since my works cover many different subjects and genres, there is a common theme throughout much of my work. I write a lot of dark, damaged characters who are searching for redemption or a normal life. I personally struggle with a few health issues that are difficult to deal with at times. All of us are simply doing the best we can with what we're given, even if that burden seems heavier than we can bear at times. Many of my characters are dealing with issues that seem insurmountable and I want to show, through my writing, that not everything is impossible. You can make it, it may simply take you a little longer to find your way out of the darkness into the light than you would like.

 

No matter how dark it may seem, there is always light to be found.
